Radeon HD 4870 X2
The folks over at Smashing Magazine have a nifty contest going on, and I thought I’d share it with everyone that reads this, seeing as RCT3 is a pretty graphics intensive game. Some specs about this wonderful card include its 2 GB of DDR5 memory, 2 x 256 mb memory interfaces, 2.4 terraFLOPS of GPU power, and 1600 stream processing units. Now that’s a card that would support RCT3 if you ask me =p.
They also have Sennheiser PXC 350‘s up for grabs and a Microsoft Black Arc mouse. Killer gaming gear, for just a comment.
Take a look at their site, all you have to do is comment with your location, and the weather outside. Help them get to 5000 posts, and spread the word!
Enter The Contest!
Good Luck!

Here it is, the 10 across, floorless Griffon coaster car. Also included in the download are some catwalks that actually fit these super wide trains. Be sure to read the readme carefully, as some people have had issues with the installation. It’s another fantastic addition to the CTR family for Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.
You’ll be able to make rides like this, although it’s not the real griffon, it’s certainly based off of it:

At last, an Intamin wooden coaster car for all those recreations of “El Toro,” “Beast,” and “Colossus.” Read the readme. It comes as a self executable file (.exe) from DasMatze’s site. You can find it under “Wild Mine Coaster” when you install it. Enjoy.

T4L has been pumping out plenty of CS lately, and this is another one of those accomplishments! Inspired by the Star Wars vehicle this is listed as ‘Air Boat’ in the RCT Extended coaster menu.

If you have been following the Armageddon ride from Moby, then this scenery will look familiar. If you haven’t, I suggest you check it out here or just watch the Youtube video and see for yourself. The set is very large (~35 MB) due to high poly count, animated textures, and their massive sizes. Also included are a few particle effects for that “wow” factor on some pieces.
Dont miss out on this set, the video alone will make your jaw drop.

This will be a series from Alien / LoneWolf7 (Alien wrote it, LoneWolf7 posted it), where he step-by-step, teaches us all how to properly design & import, as well as including many tips and tricks for the upcoming custom scenery authors. There are a few requirements to following this tutorial. For starters, you need Google’s Sketchup, and a few plugins for the creation. These are free of charge, and the plugins have been compiled into a ZIP for easier access (rather than scourging the ‘net for them).
Sketchup:

Plugins:
available on filefront
You may also want to consider downloading the latest importer for RCT3, seeing as you won’t get your creation in any other way without it.
Found here:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/rct…9&big_mirror=0
There’s plenty of screenshots included in the post for all you visual learners. It is a great resource for all those confusing buttons on the importer, as well as sketchup. So if you want to push your limits, try this out, and get an object or two into the game.

The folks over at Imagination Entertainment have been hard at work updating some of their prior sets. Most of you may know of Shaun Allsop. Well, he’s a part of Imagination Entertainment. This set includes updated textures and alignment of pieces. Also included are 4 new pieces for splash sections. Suggestions to improve the scenery include placing particle effects for that picture perfect splashdown.
