A few notable changes:

• New downloads section
• Lots of social media (I’ll host some contests for a few things to giveaway soon)
• Big, bold type with Google Webfonts!
• A better sidebar organization
• Integrated ads in the main post area
• Soon to have a members area with forum (Mid-summer projection)
• Widgetized footers which may change in the coming months with social media blocks
• Posts from here forward will have thumbnail images
• No more full posts, you must click to read more
• Better social media integration (like, tweet, etc).
• Downloads are always open to the public

There’s also something new on the horizon. New site layout, and some updates, I’ve been lacking the past few months. I’m doing my best to keep up, I do read all the emails. About 20 new sets need to be added. There’s a lot on my plate right now. Thanks for understanding

I do realize that I have not updated in over two months. The site is not dead, as I’ve renewed the domain name for another two years. I’m prepared to take the long haul with this site, as it is quite successful in terms of traffic and providing quality content (Google Analytics doesn’t lie) across the globe. Life gets in the way sometimes, between a full time job, upcoming graduation, and job searching, I find less time that I can devote to searching the forums for new stuff. I do appreciate the files that have been sent in during this period. Those will be posted. I’ll make time for it this weekend. And to those wondering if the site is dead via multiple emails I’ve received. No it is not dead, I would like to continue to post on here, but I cannot do it alone anymore. This site took a substantial amount of my time to run, so every bit of help would be greatly appreciated. I sincerely apologize for the lack of updating, but my schedule had become increasingly more difficult to juggle free time.

I have noticed a few fan sites have become password protected, and some have fallen off, but RCTDb’s numbers don’t lie when it comes to reliable, and relevant information. I have though about making the site an open forum where people can post their works (by creating accounts), but then it would turn into a spam board. So I think it should be closed invite and by application only. I’ve had a few members post in the past, but I’m looking for a more regular posting of works. If there is a finished work you see, you can assemble the post and publish it (at set intervals). If you want to continue to better the rest of the RCT community by publishing quality posts like the one’s you’ve read for two years, then please send an email or leave a comment on the post. As long as you are internet savvy and can follow a few guidelines, you’ll be perfect for posting. Who knows, there may even be something in it for you, if you keep it up.

After a month long hiatus from the site, I’ve returned with the scheduled updating. Most of this lag was due to a hefty amount of time being spent on my college design projects, where I was in the studios for long hours of each day. I needed to work on those so I can get a decent grade, and get a job upon my graduation. So that is the real work that needed to be done. I will try my best to juggle my time and provide some more updates. But for the lack of updates the past month, I apologize. Thank you to those who have emailed me your sets, videos, and files. They will all go up in the order received, as of yesterday.

I am happy with the continual growth in popularity of the website. Being online for almost 2 years is a milestone, and the fans of the game are truly the best inspiration and help keep this site alive. So the site will be around for at least another 2 years. Again, the goal of this site is provide reliable information to recently released sets, videos, tracks, parks, etc. in an organized and coherent manner.

Assistance with the site would be appreciated. I’ve called upon this before, and duties would include crawling forums for newly released sets and posting them. It’s not difficult, and probably takes anywhere from 10-30 mins out of a day. So if you’re interested in volunteering to help out, please contact me. We can go into further detail about all the tasks at hand.
